New Interview with:    Oxford Is Heaven

Owner(s) of shop: Rachael Puckett

City and Town and Country you reside in? Gaithersburg, MD, USA

Other areas you visit often, have lived or anywhere you have been that is notable:
Oxford, England is my favorite place in the world!

How long on Etsy? # of sales?
I've been selling on Etsy for about a year and half. I've made 74 sales and have several more in the works!

Contact information:

Please tell us about your shop:
I came across Etsy and started spending tons of time on it and buying fun things! Then I started with a vintage-only shop - I love vintage styles and thrift store shopping is one of my passions. At one point I picked up a pair of aqua brocade shoes and decided they needed ribbons and flowers. I got a huge positive response to that one pair and so my embellished shoes were born.

Select one item that you feel is most unusual or unique from your shop and tell us about it!
As a winter project I created pairs of special edition Marie Antoinette heels inspired by the costumes of Sophia Coppola's film and shoes of Manolo Blahnik. The one of the last pairs for sale in my shop are the "Special Edition Marie Antoinette Pink Gold Pumps" found here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/38596193/special-edition-marie-antoinette-pink

What goods do you have to offer the soon to marry couple?
I love doing customized shoes for the bride and bridesmaids!
Tell us about them and provide some links if you like:
Brides or bridesmaids can go to my Flickr and pick out a pair they'd like in their size: http://www.flickr.com/photos/oxfordwillbeinheaven/sets/72157620573174774/
or I also created the following form through Google forms to use to request a custom pair of shoes: https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dHM3Z0VuWnZvRFVnZWxoOGJtcHVXNGc6MA
Tell us about any experiences you have had working with a bride to be, projects you’ve been involved with for a wedding or items that you have created for a wedding:
If a bride can be very specific if there is anything she really wants or doesn't want that helps! Also, keep in mind that some one who is creating something for you will do it in their style and you have to like that!
Do you have any creative or useful ideas or tips for the bride and/or groom to be?
Give plenty of time and don't stress the small stuff. :)
Thank you Oxford is Heaven for taking time to provide us with an interview!  Please visit their shop! It is lovely!
Best,

Etsy Shop: www.sweetandsassycards.etsy.com

Twitter: https://twitter.com/SweetandSassyCa

Blog: http://sweetandsassycards.blogspot.com/

Email: sweetandsassycards@yahoo.com

Please tell us about your shop:

I've always wanted to have a creative outlet and to share my little works of art. When my kids left the nest, I suddenly had room to set up my own workroom and the time to work on whatever I chose. Sweet and Sassy Cards says it all, sometimes we want to say it sweetly, but sometimes a little sassy is just what you need.

I have never seen a polymer clay candle like this one.

My son and his adorable fiancé are using roses to decorate their reception hall. She described what she would like to use as centerpieces for their guest tables and since she couldn't find them anywhere, I made some for her.

What goods do you have to offer the soon to marry couple?  Tell us about them and provide some links if you like:

My cards are both sweet and sassy, but I think the newlyweds would prefer the sweet. I love to do custom work and love to make some simple wedding invitations, thank you cards, announcements, or save the date cards.

I do look forward to working with brides and grooms to be.

My advice to the new couple would be just enjoy (the experience). Try not to stress or over think. Make sure you've got your bases covered and you have competent people handling their own areas of expertise. It's your wedding--enjoy it!

Thank you Sweet and Sassy Cards for sharing your shop with us!
